Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of materials received against packing lists and purchase orders.
  • Unload and store materials in designated warehouse locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other handling equipment.
  • Maintain organized and clean warehouse space, ensuring that aisles and storage areas are clear and accessible.
  • Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling materials according to customer orders and shipping requirements.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Assist in conducting periodic physical inventory audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies as needed.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to prioritize and fulfill urgent orders or special requests.
  • Utilize computer systems or inventory management software to track inventory movements, update inventory records, and generate reports as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline warehouse processes and optimize productivity.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management or supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software or systems.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required for certain positions.
