Job Description:As a Certified Medical Assistant for our one-day skin cancer screening event, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of the event. Responsibilities include:
Assisting dermatologists and other medical personnel during skin examinations.
Escorting patients to examination rooms and preparing them for screening.
Recording patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Providing educational materials and answering basic questions about skin health and cancer prevention.
Assisting with administrative tasks such as patient registration and documentation.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of examination areas.
Requirements:
Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited institution.
Previous experience in a clinical or dermatological setting preferred.
Proficiency in medical terminology and basic patient care procedures.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients of diverse backgrounds.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively in a team.
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and promoting preventive health initiatives.
