Experience:

  • Kitchen: 5 years (Preferred)

We are currently looking for an experienced Chef/Kitchen Manager with a strong background in banquet service or catering and a passion for cooking with clean ingredients.Job Description

  • Under the direction of management, is responsible for all aspects of service including
  • but not limited to:
  • Production of various categories of food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) (Latin, Asian,
  • Mediterranean, American)
  • Food safety
  • Customer Service - You are BOH and FOH
  • Cleanliness of kitchen, dining room and storage areas
  • Inventory management
  • Managing a budget
  • Employee development
  • Upholding company standards
  • Creating new menu items
  • Job Requirements
  • Management experience
  • Genuine interest in using clean and whole ingredients
  • Passion for cooking
  • High volume cooking experience
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor under stress
  • Easy to get along with
  • Proficient with various forms of communication (verbal, written & electronic)
  • Self-starter with the ability to lead by example
  • Well organized
  • Relentless can-do attitude
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug test

Duties

  1. 50% of time will be spent cooking
  2. Maintaining a clean and well-organized kitchen
  3. Ordering and managing Inventory
  4. Scheduling Staff
  5. Menu Development
  6. Recipe Development
  7. Training staff in food preparation standards and techniques
  8. Clearly explain how food is prepared & what ingredients were used when asked
  9. Communicating with clients daily with the goal of understanding their needs
  10. Ensuring compliance with food safety standards
  11. This position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday.
  12. Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds
  13. Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.
  14. Must be able to work overtime as required
  15. Serve Safe Certificated within 2 months of employment
  16. Manage a staff of 5-10 employees
