We are currently looking for an experienced Chef/Kitchen Manager with a strong background in banquet service or catering and a passion for cooking with clean ingredients.Job Description
- Under the direction of management, is responsible for all aspects of service including
- but not limited to:
- Production of various categories of food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) (Latin, Asian,
- Mediterranean, American)
- Food safety
- Customer Service - You are BOH and FOH
- Cleanliness of kitchen, dining room and storage areas
- Inventory management
- Managing a budget
- Employee development
- Upholding company standards
- Creating new menu items
- Job Requirements
- Management experience
- Genuine interest in using clean and whole ingredients
- Passion for cooking
- High volume cooking experience
- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor under stress
- Easy to get along with
- Proficient with various forms of communication (verbal, written & electronic)
- Self-starter with the ability to lead by example
- Well organized

- Must be able to pass background check and drug test
Duties
- 50% of time will be spent cooking
- Maintaining a clean and well-organized kitchen
- Ordering and managing Inventory
- Scheduling Staff
- Menu Development
- Recipe Development
- Training staff in food preparation standards and techniques
- Clearly explain how food is prepared & what ingredients were used when asked
- Communicating with clients daily with the goal of understanding their needs
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- This position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday.
- Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Serve Safe Certificated within 2 months of employment
- Manage a staff of 5-10 employees
