STS Staffing is hiring an Accounting Manager for a Casino in Carson City, NV. This job will be Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with ay ranging for $28/hr and up. Job Summary: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the complete financial lifecycle and administrative operations of a casino, restaurant and hotel. This includes ensuring timely compliance with accounts payable (AP) deadlines, managing monthly and yearly financial processes, and overseeing inventory control. The role requires proficiency in Sage accounting software and encompasses supervisory responsibilities for accounting and compliance staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Oversee all aspects of financial management, including month-end and year-end processes, for a casino, restaurant, and hotel.
Ensure timely compliance with all accounts payable due dates and manage efficient workflows within the Sage accounting software.
Prepare and present accurate financial reports and statements, providing insights and recommendations for financial planning and budget management.
Inventory Management:
Supervise and ensure the timely and accurate completion of inventory counts.
Responsible for the effective input and management of inventory data in the designated software systems.
Team Leadership and Oversight:
Direct and mentor a team comprising two accounting professionals and a compliance specialist.
Ensure the team effectively records and maintains gaming information in compliance with regulatory standards.
Banking and Reconciliation:
Perform regular balancing and reconciliation of transactions for each entity's bank account.
Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships to optimize financial resources.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure adherence to state law regarding tax payments for all entities, including the timely remittance of taxes.
Maintain compliance with all financial and gaming regulations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
Collaborate with senior management to align financial management with overall business strategy.
Implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
NV Gaming card is required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the hospitality or gaming industry.
Demonstrated proficiency in Sage accounting software.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
