 Shift: Monday – Thursday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
 Hourly Pay Rate: $18 / HR
 Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Food Preparation Worker to join our team at STS Staffing in Phoenix, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a dynamic kitchen environment while honing their skills in food preparation and production. You will play a key role in supporting the production process, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

• Food Prep: Prepare and portion ingredients including vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients by cutting, chopping, and measuring as required. Prepare mixtures, operate kitchen machinery like mixers, grinders, and dehydrators
• Production Monitoring: Oversee production lines, ensure products meet quality standards, and troubleshoot equipment issues when necessary.
• Inspection & Packaging: Inspect and package finished products, ensuring correct labeling and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, wash dishes, utensils, and equipment, and keep work areas organized and free from clutter.
• Record Keeping: Accurately document production data, ingredient usage, and other necessary logs for traceability and quality control.
• Team Communication: Work closely with supervisors and coworkers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Food Safety & Sanitation: Knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations to prevent contamination.
• Recipe Following: Ability to read, follow recipes, and accurately measure ingredients.
• Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to detect small changes in food quality, ensuring consistency in final products.
• Manual Dexterity: Comfortable with using knives and kitchen tools with precision.
• Time Management: Efficiently handle tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-moving environment.
