Job Description - Machinist Master Grinder position Relocation Opportunity Salt Lake City, UT . (Direct Hire)
- Adapt standard tooling, mount cutting tools, set feeds and speeds, and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform heat treating, finishing, grinding, honing, brazing, and mechanical assembly operations as required.
- Provide work direction and assist with machine set-up for junior machinists.
- Troubleshoot and repair grinding equipment to support quality requirements and production demand.
- Train other employees in bearing component development, manufacturing, and assembly.
- Perform rework and repair single parts or complete assemblies
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge
- 4 years of concentrated machinist training.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Demonstrated job planning abilities and knowledge of mathematics through trigonometry.
- Understands how to work with a variety of materials
Experience Level with Business Tools
- Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
Education and Experience
- 2-year certificate in Machining with emphasis on grinding.
- Desired 10+ years of hands-on grinding experience producing precision parts.
- Formal training and practical ability to convert tolerancing from manufacturing drawings to machine language.
- Proven ability to lead setup, documentation, process, and procedures for consistently producing x-ray bearings.

- Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving heavy equipment and/or supplies occasionally.
- Reaching above and below the shoulder occasionally.
- Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold, grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools constantly.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion, or similar activities.
- Work environments includes: moving mechanical parts, repetitive hand motion.
