We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Assistant / Front Desk professional to provide maternity leave coverage for our client. This is a temporary position that will offer the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting, supporting both clinical and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, and have the ability to balance patient care with front desk responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:
Medical Assistant Duties:
Assist with patient intake, including taking vitals, recording medical history, and preparing patients for exams.
Assist the physician with minor procedures and treatments.
Perform routine laboratory tests, take specimens, and administer medications as directed by the physician.
Maintain patient records and update medical charts.
Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and exam rooms.
Front Desk Duties:
Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and confirm patient appointments.
Handle patient check-in/check-out and manage patient flow in the office.
Process patient billing, insurance verification, and co-pays.
Maintain and update patient records in the office management system.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in front desk operations and medical office software.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations.
