STS Staffing is assisting our client, a global leader in engineering and design, with the recruitment of an Engineering Project Manager to oversee high-profile engineering design projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage engineering design and design-build projects worldwide.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, managing project status updates, schedules, costs, invoicing, change orders, and more.
- Coordinate the allocation of company resources to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
- Supervise equipment fabrication, installation, startup operations, and testing, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and drafters to achieve project objectives.
- Select and manage subcontractors and other external resources as necessary.
- Travel to project sites when required for installation oversight, system integration, and commissioning activities.
- Proactively identify risks related to project costs, schedules, and technical aspects, and develop solutions to mitigate those risks.
- Address project challenges promptly and efficiently to ensure continued progress and cost-effectiveness.
Education and Experience:
Required:
- At least five years of experience managing engineering design or design/build projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Solid background in mechanical/process design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel (~25% of the time).
- U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Experience managing equipment installation, systemization, and startup.
- Familiarity with thermal treatment, pollution control systems, and automation technologies such as robotics and material handling systems.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in marketing or operations.
