• Interfacing devices such as thermocouples, RTD's, pressure transducers, load cells, photoelectric devices
• Reading and interpreting electronic, electrical, and pneumatic blueprints and specs
• Working with variable voltage DC control systems, solid state controllers, M-G sets and rectifiers.
• Servicing adjustable speed equipment such as magnetic amplifiers, SCR's, and control systems involving microprocessor and programmable controllers.
• Experience with Allen Bradley equipment

• Primary function of this position is to lay out, assemble, install & maintain pipe systems, pipe supports & related hydraulic & pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, & industrial production and processing systems as required for new construction or maintenance, applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprints.

• Will receive instructions, blue prints & work orders for the job. Will set up working procedures & calculate dimensions and material requirements for piping.

• Plans & schedules machinery installation and repairs to avoid interfering with plant production. 
•  
• Follow lock out tag out procedures. 
•  
• Set up & operate various pipe cutting, bending & threading machinery. 
•  
• Install various types insulation & pipe coverings; removes and disposes of old coverings in line with the company hazardous waste procedures and EPA & OSHA requirements.

• Makes hydraulic pressure test of piping installations. 
•  
• Checks & adjusts controls, gauges, & valves. Inspects & maintains facility piping systems, heating, refrigeration, & air conditioning systems, water treatment & sewer systems and burners and heaters.

• Keeps up-to-date records of piping systems and controls in company layout manual. 
•  
• Posts records of safety checks and inspection dates of assigned equipment. Will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
 

• Must be able to read blueprints & piping schematics.
• Must have welding experience.

Education: 
  High School Diploma and or general education (GED); and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that performs the essential functions of this position. 4-5 years’ apprenticeship that includes on-the-job training.  

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and managing maintenance operations within the company's manufacturing and production facilities. This role involves leveraging experience to develop strategies and programs aimed at enhancing the longevity, reliability, and safety of machinery and equipment while reducing costly breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring efficient maintenance processes are integrated from the start.
• Plan and prioritize preventative maintenance and repair schedules for manufacturing and production equipment.
• Analyze equipment malfunctions and implement preventative measures to minimize future breakdowns.
• Provide technical guidance and safety training to staff, including advice on necessary safety improvements.
• Oversee the management of maintenance supplies, ensuring inventory accuracy and evaluating supply vendors for quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Handle maintenance of electrical systems, lighting, heating, and air conditioning, coordinating with in-house personnel or external contractors when needed.
• Ensure the proper upkeep and service of vehicles and forklifts, maintaining service records and coordinating with internal or external service providers.
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance records for all production and support equipment.
• Coordinate the safe storage and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
• Perform additional duties as required by the business.

Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or production maintenance, including safety management.
• Familiarity with plastics and sheet metal machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems, including wiring, nodes, and conduits.
• Understanding of OSHA safety regulations, requirements, and inspection processes.
• Ability to read and interpret machine manuals, electrical diagrams, and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
